The Whitest Kids U’ Know

“The Whitest Kids U’ Know” is a sketch comedy group that has been featured as a show on Fuse and IFC. It’s absurdist often, borrowing that sense of humor from Monty Python. However, WKUK doesn’t hold much back, making it quite the dirty show at times, unlike, say, SNL. 

Even a fan like myself can admit that there are some sketches that simply aren’t that funny, but there are a few definitive classics that I’ve always really enjoyed. Perhaps you’ll find these classics below humorous, like I did. Just don’t expect a lack of offensive language and such, because there is often a lot of it in WKUK sketches. I find their use of language and less than sunshiney thematics to be done well in the context of a modern sketch comedy show, however.

Liam Gallagher nooooooo

Liam Gallagher, lead singer for Oasis, has started a fashion label called “Petty Green.” At first I thought it was a joke. I mean, this is Liam Gallagher. He’s a jokester (albeit a pretentious one). Then again, at the same time, I wouldn’t put this silliness past him.

Married to the Sea

What happens when you take Victorian-styled public domain images and slap text captions on them? You get Married to the Sea, a webcomic by “Drew,” who also does the comic Toothpaste for Dinner. Interestingly, his wife is Natalie Dee, author of the webcomic called…well, Natalie Dee.
